School Construction Coordinator

to the project team in the Philippines. FCA executes a seven month school construction project in the Philippines, island of Samar, where typhoon Haiyan has caused damage. The Coordinator reports to the Team Leader in the Philippines.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Planning and coordination of construction projects including 50 temporary class room buildings.
Coordination of logistics for imported materials and procurement of rest of the materials, tools and transportation.
Recruitments of site managers and labour from local communities by means of Cash for Work program
Cooperation with local construction companies.
Management of all construction including training on site
Communication between field actions, FCA regional organisation (includes e.g. Team leader and logistician), FCA headquarters, local authorities as required and other essential organisations operating in the Philippines including occasional cluster meetings in Manila.
Undertake other duties as designated
Competence and Personal Requirements:

Relevant work experience in construction management in international operations.
Good knowledge or proven experience in project management, including financial project management.
Knowledge of humanitarian aid approaches and standards

Are good at communicating and networking and
Have good problem-solving skills
The salary is based on FCA Salary System and depends on prior work experience. Finn Church Aid Code of Conduct and other FCA policies shall be followed during the assignment.
